The West African Meat Arena & Services (WAMAS), a member of the GAMLA Group was found in 2014 with an objective to redecorate the impression of the meat market by introducing a more systematic method to the pricing of cattle as opposed to the current ad-hoc process of pricing on sight. In this scheme, cattle will be put up for sale as they become available.
WAMAS requirements include veterinary inspection of live animals, their carcasses and organ tissue after slaughter. We constantly inspect our facilities and equipment before and during operation and supervision of procedures involved in meat handling and processing.
The major cattle holding pen is situated at Yashikira – Baruten L.G.A. Kwara State; thereafter, cattle are transported to customers in Benin, Lagos and other parts of the country.
WAMAS is currently constructing a world class abattoir ensuring the safety of cattle meat and its condiments to meet the demands while maintaining quick delivery. We believe that these thorough activities should prevent meat not properly processed or abused product from reaching the consumer.
